“The whole thing was a blast, and Pat (Sajak) was awesome,” said Major, whose parents and girlfriend celebrated the victory with him on set. “I could hang out with that guy.”

The 34-year-old Palatine resident will wrap up an Associate in Applied Science degree in radiologic technology this summer. He’ll transfer to Southern Illinois University in the fall to continue his studies in magnetic resonance imaging and computed tomography.

He had to miss some time from his clinical site for the show taping in April, so he’s grateful to his program leaders for their support and letting him make up the work.

The only slight disappointment in the entire experience? Major had the game’s Million Dollar Wedge in the bonus round, giving him a shot at winning $1 million had the wheel landed on that envelope.

“The million dollars obviously would have been amazing, but I’ve got zero complaints,” he said.

Matt Dimick got an M and an O out of his letter choices. They didn’t help him figure out the Bonus Puzzle because he got stuck trying to fit the O and the R into the second word. So he didn’t win a convertible.

Tue 4-25-17 Wheel: $15,425 + 0 On Jeopardy: $12,000
Karl Stahl got 2 consonants and his vowel from his picks. That gave him the entire last word and, of course, he knew the second one. He just couldn’t figure out the first word in 10 seconds. “He’s a planner, not a [missing letters]ner,” Pat Sajak quipped before showing him the $34K he didn’t win.

Wed 4-26-17 Wheel: $27,450 + $34,000 On Jeopardy: $28,800
Angel Myers got 2 consonants in the first word and a vowel in the second from her letter picks. That was just what she needed to figure it out for the first bonus puzzle solve since the 4-14 game.

Thu 4-27-17 Wheel: $16,000 + $34,000 On Jeopardy: $19,600
Karline Saintus got an M from her consonant picks and 4 Os with her vowel. She was getting close to the end when the first word came to her and brought her up to a $50K payday.

Fri 4-28-17 Wheel: $19,868 + $0 On Jeopardy: $24,400
Brandon Holt got a D from his consonant picks and filled in 2 spots with his vowel. Pat Sajak’s observation that it was still pretty challenging proved to be correct. Brandon just couldn’t sound out that first word. In The I Almost Won Dept: a convertible. Ouch!
